Health Safety Environmental and Security Specialist (Ref # 412691)


POSITION SYNOPSIS

This role is very significant for the provision of quality Health, Safety, Environmental and Security leadership to the Pearl Project at Gag island and Halmahera operations through the Study phase and to BHP Billiton standards.


Reporting to the Health, Safety, Environmental and Security Manager you will be responsible for developing and implementing the policies and procedures of HSES as well as delivering the Health, Safety, Environmental and security materials for inclusion in the Study Report Gag island.


You will also be required to identify, assess, and mitigate the health, safety, environmental and security risk. In this broad role you will ultimately be responsible for but not limited to supporting Community Relations, HSE, Security, Camp, Logistics and Geological teams.




SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

You will have gained substantial skills and experience in a dynamic Health and Safety role, with exposure to multinational corporate or resources setting where you demonstrated leadership ability in the implementation of HSE Systems, behavioural change and continuous improvement.


This will be supplemented by your tertiary degree in HSE or related discipline. A strong Health and Safety focus will assist in achieving Zero harm whilst a demonstrated proactive engagement with local community will be highly advantageous. Fluent communication skills in both English and Indonesian Bahasa is essential.

This is a site based position.
